I · The Claim
The Astrological Atomic Structure is a derived, rather than assigned, geometric notation for the 78 archetypes of the Tarot — dual-register decan glyphs whose forms are computed from classical rulership, assembled into composite figures by exhaustive combinatorial rule — with no precedent found for its load-bearing mechanisms in the surveyed decan-image and talismanic-geometry traditions.
The claim is one of derivation, not of depiction. In every prior system located, the correspondences are assigned — by doctrine, by inherited iconography, by tracing paths on a grid, or by artistic judgment. Here the forms fall out of constraints and are therefore computable, checkable, and falsifiable.
II · What Is Derived, and From What
Each planet written as its kamea number, 3–9 — the side-length of its classical magic square, attested since Agrippa.
The Triplicity Ascent ruler. Decan 1 takes the sign's domicile lord, decan 2 the lord of the 5th, decan 3 the lord of the 9th — all three the trine, each sign's outer sequence its own triplicity ascending from home.
The Chaldean face ruler, "the traveler" — one continuous seven-cycle across all 36 decans from Aries I = Mars, always the finest line present.
Twelve designs, each used exactly three times — keyed to element and planet together. Triplicity Ascent gives each trine lord one decan in each of its three signs, so the count is forced, not chosen. The vocabulary closes at decan 12: Aries–Cancer is one sign of each element, and no new outer shape is invented after Cancer.
Twenty-eight distinct designs across the 36 decans, in eight twin pairs — within every family two members sit fourteen decans apart, and 14 = 2 × 7 returns them the same traveler. The gcd of the two point-counts is read: nine unisons, eighteen coprime — the figure hums.
Forty-two composites by six family rules, each family consuming all 36 Atoms exactly once — 216 placements = 6³, 42/42 unique combinations, verified computationally. With the Atoms as the pips, the set closes on 78.
III · Lineage — Ancestors Named and Distinguished
Naming the ancestors is what makes the claim of novelty credible.
The 36-fold division itself. The figures are iconographic personifications; nothing in them encodes rulership as form.
The canonical decan images — figurative and verbal. No geometric register, no computable relation between image and ruler.
The seven planetary kameas of orders 3–9 — the substrate, attested. Agrippa supplies the number; he does not draw it as a polygon.
The nearest located relative, and the clearest departure. The seal's shape is a path traced across the grid; the Atomic Structure discards the grid and keeps only the order number, redeployed as sidedness.
Both attested as doctrine; neither located as a drawn register. Their simultaneous graphical encoding in one figure is not located.
The 36-to-pip binding is inherited. The attributions remain assigned labels; the Thoth geometry is expressive, not generative.
The most substantial modern synthesis of decan lore. Verbal and interpretive throughout; explicitly not a notation.
IV · Mechanisms With No Located Precedent
- Kamea order as polygon sidedness — the magic square's side-length lifted off the grid.
- Dual-register encoding in a single glyph — both competing decan rulership schemes stated simultaneously.
- The gcd of the two registers as a read variable — unison, shared factor, coprimality treated as information.
- Element × planet as the family rule — twelve outer designs, vocabulary closure provable at decan 12.
- Identity as a positive result — the twin pairs declared a classification rather than a collision.
- Exhaustive combinatorial assembly — six partitions, 216 placements, closing on the 78.
- Rank derived from modality in the Cusp family, rather than assigned.
V · Scope of the Negative Claim
The mechanisms above are unattested in the surveyed decan-image tradition, in the Agrippan kamea and planetary-seal literature, and in web-searchable sources as of 2026-08-22. What remains unexhausted: the Arabic manuscript tradition beyond its Latin descendants, unpublished Golden Dawn and B.O.T.A. papers, Indian drekkana iconography in its own visual literature, contemporary artist practice not indexed online, and private teaching lines.
The claim to publish is therefore "no precedent found," stated with its search scope — not "no one ever."
